Let me introduce myself as a mother just like you, probably working your tail off day in and day out for the family you have always dreamed of having. Whether it’s at home, in the office or both! I’m just simply trying to save money for my family, learn life changing skills and remove harmful toxins from our daily routine and home. That’s it! I still work, I still want to work and do I think having a full time homestead is the route for me in the current season of my life, maybe not. I’m JUST STARTING! But maybe down the line… I could. Maybe you could.

You should also know this about me… I’m a cut the BS, straight to the point, no fluff, kind of gal! Hey! I have ADHD and not a lot of extra time to be doing constant research, BUT that doesn’t mean I don’t want to know or learn how to do things! In my dream world, I’ve removed laundry detergent, dish detergent, polyester, store bought soaps etc from our lives. I’ve grown all our veggies, stopped buying eggs (almost there), and slaughtered the cow (I COULD NEVER!) I LOVE THE MOOS!! I’m teaching my children all of these life skills that will help them survive the apocalypse. And they will teach their children! I digress!

So, I’m starting this blog to document my journey! I’m starting this blog to help YOU learn too. The basic stuff, sometimes the harder stuff and the stuff in between! Because, I do believe little by little, we can change life for our family. We too, can have less in our home that contributes to Cancer, Diabetes and other horrible conditions you can find on pretty much every isle of our favorite grocery stores. We too can save money on eggs, produce, and more! We too can survive economic crashes and apocalyptic events! We can STOP relying so heavily on our government- it really does us no favors in the grand scheme of things!

Welcome to The Amateur Homesteading Mama club!
